LPGPU2 are attending HiPEAC 2017

LPGPU2 will be attending the 12th annual HiPEAC conference which will be held on the 23rd-25th January at the Waterfront Congress Centre in Stockholm, Sweden. Representing LPGPU2 at this years conference will be Prof. Ben Juurlink, Professor for Embedded Systems Architectures, TU Berlin. Prof Ben Juurlink will be taking part in the PEGPUM: Power-Efficient GPU and heterogeneous Multi-/Many-core Computing workshop on the 24th January – 10.00am – 17.30pm in Room 27, Waterfront Congress Centre giving an update on the LPGPU2 Project.

 

‘Power efficiency is increasingly important for modern embedded and real-time systems. Heterogeneous systems featuring Multicores, GPUs and FPGAs provide the opportunity to achieve low power consumption. There are several projects within Horizon 2020 that deal with these challenges. LPGPU2 assists the application developer in creating software for low-power GPUs. The project addresses all aspects of performance and power analysis, from hardware power and performance counters, a framework that processes and visualizes performance and power data, to applications.The scientific approach of these projects focuses on modern embedded systems that combine heterogeneity, power efficiency and real-time features. This workshop is a first step towards a closer cooperation between these Horizon 2020 projects’.

 

‘The HiPEAC conference is the premier European forum for experts in computer architecture, programming models, compilers and operating systems for embedded and general-purpose systems.Associated workshops, tutorials, special sessions, several large poster session and an industrial exhibition will run in parallel with the conference.The three day event attracts about 600 delegates each year’.
